FACILITATOR PLAYBOOK

How to run it well

Keep the mechanics simple so the team can focus on the conversation.

  1. Set the safety rule

Say clearly that anyone can pass or ask for another prompt without explanation.

  2. Choose mood and source

Use a built-in pack, your custom prompts or a mix appropriate for the group.

  3. Spin, draw and keep it light

Avoid dares that create embarrassment, physical risk, expense or unwanted disclosure.

SCRUM MASTER TIPS

Small choices that make the activity better

  • Use professional mode with newer teams.
  • Review every custom prompt before the game.
  • Never use participation as a test of commitment.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Is this truth or dare safe for work?+

The built-in prompts are designed to be respectful and work-friendly, but the facilitator should still consider team trust and context.

Can the Scrum Master add custom truths and dares?+

Yes. Custom prompts can be added, edited, deleted and selected as the only source or mixed with built-in packs.

Can someone pass?+

The product does not force a response. Facilitators should explicitly allow passing or drawing again.
